DESCRIPTION
The 2020 NYStretch Energy Code significantly changed how buildings in NYC are designed and constructed.

Buildings constructed under NYStretch will use 11 percent less energy over their lifetimes than those built under previous codes, driving green building practices across the city.

ASHRAE NY last tackled this topic in January 2020 and are happy to revisit this topic for our Februaryy 2022 dinner meeting.  We’re excited to offer our members and non-members the opportunity to interact with city and state leaders on the forefront of our sustainability legislation.

Join ASHRAE NY to highlight the important differences between the city and state codes, revisit how the codes relate to LL97 and decarbonization efforts, receive updates on how the code has been received over the past two years, updates on future code changes, and discuss what architects, engineers, builders and building owners should focus on.

John Addario, Director of Building Standards and Codes for NYS
