New York’s forthcoming predicted energy use code (Local Law 32 of 2018), as well as the groundbreaking building carbon emission limits, of 2019’s Local Law 97, will require fundamental changes to the practice of architecture, and how we design, operate, and construct our buildings. The Building Energy Exchange convened an Architect Advisory Council (AAC) of 27 leading architects, engineers, and organizational representatives to determine key areas of climate action for the profession, design & construction.

The Sept 14th workshop is part of the work of the AAC and follows the launch of its award-winning vision document, “Who Cares About Energy Codes?
