COURSE DESCRIPTION
LL88, as amended, requires owners of certain buildings to make upgrades to lighting power allowances and controls, and to install electrical sub-meters in covered tenant spaces.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
This presentation will cover which buildings need to comply, by when, and what is required for compliance. The presentation will also cover how compliance is to be reported, qualifications for who can report for a building, and the penalties for failure to comply.

SPEAKER BIO

Emily Hoffman, Director of the Office of Building Energy and Emissions Performance (OBEEP) at NYC Department of Buildings
Emily Hoffman is the Director of the Office of Building Energy and Emissions Performance (OBEEP) at NYC DOB, overseeing the implementation for Local Law 97 and other Sustainability Laws. Prior to OBEEP, she spent nearly 10 years leading the department’s Energy Code team. Ms. Hoffman was heavily involved in local and national energy code development – leading the development of the NYCECC, serving as Vice Chair of the 2024 IECC and participating in the development of ASHRAE 90.1, 229P and NYSERDA Stretch Code. Ms. Hoffman was awarded the Energy Professional Development of the Year award in 2019 and 2020 from the Association of Energy Engineers and named an NYC Climate Hero in 2020.
