ASHRAE NYC invites you to an evening of fine dining and professional networking at Club 101 in New York City, featuring a keynote presentation by Dr. Theresa Weston on Defining and Assessing Resilience. As communities face growing threats from storms, floods, wildfires, and extreme temperatures, resilience has become an essential consideration in the built environment. Dr. Weston will explore resilience through multiple lenses—personal experience, financial impact, and community impact—while addressing how standards, specifications, and codes define and measure resilience across buildings and communities. Drawing on past work in energy efficiency, durability, and sustainability, she will highlight the industry’s ongoing efforts to assess and improve resilience. This event will offer attendees a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights, connect with peers, and engage with one of the leading voices on resilience in building science.
